About

boundaries + crossings is a multidisciplinary journal published by imagining global asia (iga) that showcases the beauty and struggles of daily life through creative and scholarly work. Started in 2007 with a focus on the people and cultures of Asia, boundaries explores contemporary issues from culture to politics and looks concretely at these issues through the experiences of people’s daily lives. Past work has looked at Vietnamese-Americans visiting Vietnam, the Korean Diaspora in Argentina and the boundaries created by one’s accent in New York.  We publish online, in print and on the street; the multimedia web form of the journal addresses the dynamic and disjunct nature of our object of study.
